LAGOS — CIG Motors Group has reinforced its commitment to strengthening security in Lagos State with the donation of 10 operational vehicles valued at over N300 million to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF). The vehicles, which are expected to enhance the mobility, logistics and rapid-response capabilities of security personnel across the state, were formally handed over by the Chairman of CIG Motors Group, Chief Diana Chen, to the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, at the company’s international headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos. The fleet comprises four Wuling N111 vehicles, three Wuling XC250 vehicles and three JMC Vigus pickup trucks. Lagos Police Arrest Four Suspected Robbers, Cultists, Recover 3 Pistols, Ammunition in Ajah

LAGOS — The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a criminal gang allegedly linked to recent armed robbery, killings and cult-related activities in the Ajah axis of the state. The suspects, identified as Kareem Abiodun, 26; Tansiru Emmanuel, 29; Lateef Usman, 28; and Alashe Azeez, 32, were arrested during sustained follow-up operations by operatives of the Command. According to the Police, the operation was launched following investigations into a robbery case, which led operatives to the suspected gang members. Three locally made pistols, one live ammunition, two battle axes and a Point-of-Sale (POS) machine were recovered during the operation. The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the death of 10 police officers who were killed in the line of duty during an encounter with a heavily armed group of suspected bandits in Kebbi State. The incident occurred at about 9:25 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026 , along the Rafin Makuku axis of Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State , when police operatives intercepted suspected bandits reportedly moving between Zamfara and Kebbi states. According to the Nigeria Police Force, the operatives engaged the armed group in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the neutralisation of at least 17 suspected bandits , while four motorcycles belonging to the attackers were destroyed.
