Customs to Deploy 'Virtual Reality Tech' for Trade Efficiency, Smuggling Control The Comptroller-General Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, emphasizes commitment to boost trade and combat smuggling through Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI). CGC Adeniyi declared a 2-day workshop on Virtual Reality Technology (VRT) installation, organized by WCO and Ho Entertainment. Assistant Comptroller-General ACG Malanta Yusuf, on behalf of Adeniyi, commended WCO and CCF Korea for their collaborative gesture. ooo *GOC 2 DIVISION NA PAYS OPERAIONAL VISIT TO 32 ARTILLERY BRIGADE*  The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Bamidele Alabi, paid operational visit to 32 Artillery Brigade Operatiooonal Base at Emure, Ekiti State, on Friday, 2 February, 2024. The visit was necessitated by the recent killing of two traditional rulers and kidnap of school children within the area. On Monday, 29 January, 2024, three traditional rulers in Ekiti State who were returning from a security meeting at Erelu - Ekiti, were attacked by gun men. Two amongst them, David Ogunsukin, the Elesun of Esun - Ekiti and Olatunde Olusola, the Onimojo of Omojola - Ekiti, were killed, while Oba Adebayo Fatoba, the Alara of Ara, escaped. Customs CG Provides Strategies for Meeting 2024 Revenue Target at RMFC The Nigeria Customs Service has briefed the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission (RMFC) on its various activities, procedures, and measures aimed at increasing revenue generation, fiscal efficiency, and blocking revenue leakages. Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR made this known during a presentation on Wednesday, 24 January 2024, at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission office in Abuja. He emphasized the need to build trust when collaborating with other government agencies to achieve objectives.
