The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has fired another shot in its war against vehicle smuggling with the launch of a powerful new digital platform that promises to transform how imported vehicles are verified across the country. The innovation, called the Customs Verification Management System (CVMS), was officially unveiled on Monday at the NCS Headquarters in Abuja by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi. PSC SITS ON POLICE PENDING DISCIPLINARY MATTERS AND APPEALS, SAYS IT WILL HENCEFORTH RECEIVE DUE AND  TIMELY ATTENTION SO THAT THOSE FOUND INNOCENT CAN BE FREED TO PROGRESS IN THEIR CAREER The ongoing Plenary Meeting of the Police Service Commission continued at the Solomon Arase Conference hall over the weekend with 24 appeals and one Pending Disciplinary matter conclusively decided. The Commission dismissed  the petitions/ complaints against DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi Dali, mni on allegations of falsified date of enlistment  and other irregularities  in his record of service insisting that the petition and allegations  from anonymous concerned  senior Officers from Adamawa State was frivolous. Raw Materials Council, NSCDC Partner to Tackle Illegal Mining The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Mining Marshals have struck a new partnership aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s fight against illegal mining and boosting the value of the country’s mineral resources. The alliance was sealed during a courtesy visit by a delegation of the NSCDC Mining Marshals, led by the Commander,  ACC Attah John Onoja, to the RMRDC headquarters in Maitama, Abuja. Speaking during the visit, ACC Onoja explained that the mission of the Mining Marshals is not only to provide on-ground security but also to ensure that mineral resources are extracted in ways that align with national laws and contribute to economic growth. ARASE!  I WILL FOREVER CHERISH YOUR KINDNESS AND LOVE -GOOD NIGHT BOSS It is already a week, and your unexpected and shocking departure still looks like a dream. How I wish it is?  When the news hovered without confirmation last week Sunday, there was panick and confusion. Many refused or chose not to believe it,others went into prayers demanding  heavenly intervention. I am really finding it difficult to believe you are no more. You were just too good to exit now, and this brings me to the saying that good things don't last. But why? You met the Commission on its knees with basically no direction. You came and gave it your all that after a year you had breathed life into it, restored its dignity and gave it a new hope. Your stay was brief but impactful and rewarding that till today, it seems to be the best season for a commission, dithering for freedom and relevance. You fought many battles, stepped on toes, and volunteered to pay the price for our salvation....
