Frank Kokori Great Legacies Remained An Inspiration To Our Union -NUPENG President

President of natural union and petroleum and natural gas (NUPENG ) comrade prince Williams Akopreha who pay condolences visit to the family of Chief comadre Frank Kokori in his residence in Ovu Community,Ethiope East local government area Delta State .on the 17th of December 2023 with 85 Members of the union.


He stated that the legacies of the ex General Secretary of will forever remain an inspiration to the union, assuming that the body will immortalize the late Labour ICON .
While urging the federal government to also immortalize Chief Kokori . Prince Akopreha said the struggles of the late Labour ICON for a better Nigeria brought global visibility of NUPENG , the national executive council will look for a way to immortalize him .

For now we will focus on the funeral , after the burial there are lot of ways we will put in place to immortalize him . Chief Kokori will continue to live even if he is no more . He put Nigeria in the global mab ", the National president comrade prince Williams added that Kokori who was passionate about the integrity of the union , was always offering pieces of advice to successive leadership's of the union to ensure they substained the positve image of the body . 

He said his Great legacies will remain an inspiration as growing. Comrade Chief Kokori was my mentor , he placed NUPENG on National andglobal map and till date NUPENG has not gone down . Chief Kokori never allowed anyone to discredit the union he was always there offering us advice. He lived a fulfilled life . We will continue to stand by the principles he left behind ", he noted the the union never for once abounded Chief Kokori as was speculated by some persons . Also speaking during the visits the National chairman of petroleum tanker driver (PTD) Comrade Augustine Egbon urge Delta State and federal government to take care of the family of late Kokori, stressing that his agitations are those of his likes gave rise to democratic government in the country .

Vice president and the public relation officer of NUPENG comrade Adigwe Justice and A kpos Akepemuwa also enjoined the government not to delay in immortalizing Kokori. 

One of the son of Late Kokori Efe Kokori who speak for the family expressed gratitude to NUPENG for the condolence visit .

We are happy that NUPENG is here , the government has not done what it should do for people like Kokori. Before my father died he was not happy with this . But the government has been making over tures since the death , lets believe they will keep to their promises he said.

Gunmen Hijack Funeral Convoy, Abduct Mourners Escorting FRSC Deputy Commander's Body, Demand ₦50m Ransom

A funeral procession conveying the remains of a late Deputy Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Augustine O. Ikwue, has been attacked by suspected kidnappers along the Ososo–Ajaokuta axis of Kogi State, with several mourners reportedly abducted. The late officer, popularly known as "Etume Zero," was being transported to his hometown in Benue State for burial when the armed men ambushed the convoy. According to reports, the attackers abducted several mourners and initially took away the corpse of the deceased officer into the bush alongside the victims. Citizen journalist and activist Meddy Olotu disclosed that the kidnappers later abandoned the corpse, which was subsequently recovered near Ejule in Kogi State. However, the abducted mourners remain in captivity. The kidnappers are reportedly demanding a ransom of ₦50 million for the release of the victims.
