Access Corporation appoints Olakunle Aderinokun as Head Of Media And Public

After the demise of the former Media head at Access Bank last December 17th 2023, Abdul Kolawole Imoyo, another fine Public Relations (PR) and art enthusiast, Mr Olakunle Aderinokun has been appointed as the Head of Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation.

  Olakunle announced the appointment on his LinkedIn handle, saying, “I’m pleased to share that I’ve resumed a new position as Head, Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation.”

 


Olakunle was the editor at Arise News Channel, where he was responsible for selecting, cutting, and putting together video footage and turning it into a cohesive sequence that tells the story as the director intended.

 

 the course of his journalism career, Olakunle interviewed top CEOs of institutions in the private and public sectors and has travelled widely. He has attended workshops and conferences in Nigeria and overseas, including the IMF-World Bank meetings, African Development Bank (AfDB) meetings, Asia-Africa Trade and Investment Conference/Tokyo International Conference on African Development (AATIC/TICAD); Africa Oil Week, Cape Town, South Africa; Vaasa Energy Week, Finland.

Olakunle started his career at First Marina Trust Ltd as an MIS and Account, he then moved to Wall Street Trust Company as an Analyst.

He also served at United Bank for Africa Plc as a Banking Officer, after a year, he founded Pure Synergy. At ThisDay Newspaper Group, he worked as an Associate Editor and Group Business Editor with the responsibility of editing and writing business stories and analyses

 

Olakunle holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos.

The Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has inaugurated a high-powered Steering Committee on the Establishment of State Police, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s internal security architecture. Gunmen Hijack Funeral Convoy, Abduct Mourners Escorting FRSC Deputy Commander's Body, Demand ₦50m Ransom

A funeral procession conveying the remains of a late Deputy Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Augustine O. Ikwue, has been attacked by suspected kidnappers along the Ososo–Ajaokuta axis of Kogi State, with several mourners reportedly abducted. The late officer, popularly known as "Etume Zero," was being transported to his hometown in Benue State for burial when the armed men ambushed the convoy. According to reports, the attackers abducted several mourners and initially took away the corpse of the deceased officer into the bush alongside the victims. Citizen journalist and activist Meddy Olotu disclosed that the kidnappers later abandoned the corpse, which was subsequently recovered near Ejule in Kogi State. However, the abducted mourners remain in captivity. The kidnappers are reportedly demanding a ransom of ₦50 million for the release of the victims.
