Access Leads Nigeria’s CFA Talent Pipeline with 82 Candidates, CFA Society Data Shows
LAGOS — Access has emerged as Nigeria’s leading employer of candidates enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Programme, according to new data released by CFA Society Nigeria, highlighting the Group’s growing investment in professional talent and financial expertise.
The data, contained in CFA Society Nigeria’s Where Nigeria’s Finance Professionals Work series published in a national daily, shows that Access has 82 CFA candidates enrolled in the programme — more than twice the 38 candidates recorded by the next-ranked institution.
The Group also ranked second nationally among employers of CFA charterholders, with 11 professionals who have successfully completed all three levels of the CFA Programme and met the required professional experience and ethical standards.
CFA Society Nigeria said the rankings were compiled from its Salesforce Membership Database as of June 2026 and were designed to recognise organisations whose professionals contribute rigour, integrity and global best practices to the financial services industry.
The figures underscore a growing shift in Nigeria’s financial sector, where competition among leading institutions is increasingly extending beyond balance sheets, branch networks and market share to the depth and quality of their professional talent.
Industry observers say the concentration of CFA candidates at Access could have broader implications for the country’s financial ecosystem, as professionals trained through the CFA Programme contribute to the development of investment analysis, portfolio management, ethics and capital-market expertise.
With 82 candidates currently pursuing the qualification, Access is developing a significant pipeline of professionals with internationally recognised financial expertise. The growing pool could ultimately strengthen the wider ecosystem spanning banking, investment management, pension funds and Nigeria’s capital markets.
Commenting on the ranking, Access Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer, Innocent C. Ike, said the achievement reflected the Group’s broader focus on building sustainable institutions and developing professionals.
“Every candidate on that list represents our commitment to building institutions and professionals that endure,” Ike said.
The development aligns with Access Holdings’ stated ambition of becoming the “World’s Most Respected African Financial Services Group,” with professional development and talent building forming part of its strategy for long-term growth and international competitiveness.
The latest CFA data therefore offers another measure of the Group’s growing investment in human capital, positioning professional expertise as an increasingly important component of competitiveness in Nigeria’s evolving financial services industry.
