POLICE RECRUITMENT: PSC DISOWNS TRENDING INVITATION FOR SCREENING WITH REQUEST FOR PAYMENT OF N2000

Image
The attention of the Police Service Commission has been drawn to a fictitious publication in the social media requesting prospective candidates for screening for recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force to come with the sum of N2000. The message which had the name of the Commission on top, reads " Police Service Commission: congratulations  and U have been shortlisted  for the physical  screening 8 January 2024, come along with 2k when coming" The Commission wishes to disown and disassociate  itself from the said  publication which obviously is fictitious and misleading. The Commission had earlier in a Press Statement explained that the ongoing recruitment is entirely free from the registration stage to the last stage which is medical examination and wishes to state that nothing has changed to warrant requesting the candidates to come with N2000 for the screening exercise.  The Commission warns that it will no longer tole...

How First Bank Ex-MD, Bisi Onasanya Almost Wreck The Bank

Image
Bisi Stephen Onasanya      Character is like a flame that burns on the hob of accomplishment. Ultimately, it quenches or ignites on the grate of honour. Once you strike the match, you can only use it once. You must kindle its fickle flare to sustain it. But this requires integrity and native intelligence, in the absence of these, character manifests like disease, goading its affecter towards random acts of dishonour. Nigeria may be broke. The country may be truly bankrupt. If that is the case, then the country may be flailing right at the edge of the deadly precipice, where prodigal clans careen and plunge down the steep plains of lavishness and sick delight. The facts are mean and the statistics loom grotesquely like tragic integers of an economy in the chokehold of penury and devastation. Worse hit is the financial sector in the catalogue of ruin that pervades the polity even as you read. Prime culprits responsible for the depression stealthily stealin...
