In a significant step towards promoting unity and stronger collaboration within Nigeria's downstream petroleum industry, the newly elected National Executive President of NUPENG, Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti, led a high-powered delegation on a courtesy visit to the National Secretariat of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) in Utako, Abuja.
The delegation comprised Comrade Akin Oladejo (Deputy President), Comrade Joseph I. Akinlaja (Former General Secretary), Comrade Saheed Gbolahan Adigun (National Security Coordinator/PTD Lagos Zonal Chairman), Comrade Mathias O. Ote (Informal Sector Adviser/PTD National Chairman), and Comrade Suleiman M. Pema (Assistant General Secretary, Research and Public Affairs). They were warmly received by the National President of NARTO, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal Othman.
The visit also attracted prominent stakeholders across the downstream petroleum value chain, including the National President of IPMAN, Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi Shettima; former IPMAN President and current Board of Trustees Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir Mbamba (Walin Adamawa); former NARTO National President, Alhaji Kassim Ibrahim Batayya; IPMAN stakeholder, Alhaji Musa Felande; former IPMAN President, Chief Lawson Obasi; and the General Manager (Administration) of IPMAN, Alhaji Atiku Zailani Ahmed.
The strategic engagement provided an important platform for NUPENG, NARTO, and IPMAN to deliberate on key industry issues, strengthen institutional relationships, explore areas of mutual cooperation, and develop practical strategies aimed at advancing the interests of their members while supporting national economic development.
At the end of the meeting, the stakeholders reaffirmed their shared commitment to sustained dialogue, stronger collaboration, industrial harmony, and the continued growth of Nigeria's petroleum transportation and distribution value chain.
